This week, a portrait of my nephew Aaron - taken with the 43mm limited.

I've been wanting to experiment with longer exposures for a while, and took this picture in southeast Colorado Springs. I'm not completely happy with the images I got, but it was a learning experience and worthwhile. Taken with the 43mm limited.

Inspired by this post, I've decided to make the effort to take and post at least one photo a week this year. I didn't decide this until today, but luckily I have a shot taken on the first. It's just a test shot of a squirrel, taken with a new-to-me 200mm telephoto lens. The depth of field is so thin at ƒ/2.8 that the lower half of the squirrel appears to be in better focus than the top, unless it's the fact that I was shooting at 1/60th of a second, image stabilization or no!

Looks like driftwood, but in reality I found it not far below the top of Blodgett Peak when climbing it last December.

Was in downtown Denton, TX today, and thought this would make a fun photo. Taken with an iPhone 4, cropped in-camera, and ran through the free Filter FX app.
